Omg..These tests are quite true..
This is the one that teachers ask us to take for SDP..
The results of Chengyuan Yu's learning inventory are: Visual/Nonverbal 30 Visual/Verbal 34 Auditory 20 Kinesthetic 20
Your primary learning style is:
The Visual/ Verbal Learning Style
You learn best when information is presented visually and in a written language format. In a classroom setting, you benefit from instructors who use the blackboard (or overhead projector) to list the essential points of a lecture, or who provide you with an outline to follow along with during lecture. You benefit from information obtained from textbooks and class notes. You tend to like to study by yourself in a quiet room. You often see information "in your mind's eye" when you are trying to remember something.
Learning Strategies for the Visual/ Verbal Learner: To aid recall, make use of "color coding" when studying new information in your textbook or notes. Using highlighter pens, highlight different kinds of information in contrasting colors. Write out sentences and phrases that summarize key information obtained from your textbook and lecture. Make flashcards of vocabulary words and concepts that need to be memorized. Use highlighter pens to emphasize key points on the cards. Limit the amount of information per card so your mind can take a mental "picture" of the information. When learning information presented in diagrams or illustrations, write out explanations for the information. When learning mathematical or technical information, write out in sentences and key phrases your understanding of the material. When a problem involves a sequence of steps, write out in detail how to do each step. Make use of computer word processing. Copy key information from your notes and textbook into a computer. Use the print-outs for visual review. Before an exam, make yourself visual reminders of information that must be memorized. Make "stick it" notes containing key words and concepts and place them in highly visible places --on your mirror, notebook, car dashboard, etc..

This is my personality test.
Your Type is ESFJ Extroverted Sensing Feeling Judging Strength of the preferences % 1 25 50 1
ESFJ type description by D.KeirseyESFJ type description by J. Butt
Qualitative analysis of your type formula
You are:slightly expressed extrovert
moderately expressed sensing personality
moderately expressed feeling personality
slightly expressed judging personality
Guardians of birthdays, holidays and celebrations, ESFJs are generous entertainers. They enjoy and joyfully observe traditions and are liberal in giving, especially where custom prescribes.
All else being equal, ESFJs enjoy being in charge. They see problems clearly and delegate easily, work hard and play with zest. ESFJs, as do most SJs, bear strong allegiance to rights of seniority. They willingly provide service (which embodies life's meaning) and expect the same from others.
ESFJs are easily wounded. And when wounded, their emotions will not be contained. They by nature "wear their hearts on their sleeves," often exuding warmth and bonhomie, but not infrequently boiling over with the vexation of their souls. Some ESFJs channel these vibrant emotions into moving dramatic performances on stage and screen.
Strong, contradictory forces consume the ESFJ. Their sense of right and wrong wrestles with an overwhelming rescuing, 'mothering' drive. This sometimes results in swift, immediate action taken upon a transgressor, followed by stern reprimand; ultimately, however, the prodigal is wrested from the gallows of their folly, just as the noose tightens and all hope is lost, by the very executioner!
An ESFJ at odds with self is a remarkable sight. When a decision must be made, especially one involving the risk of conflict (abhorrent to ESFJs), there ensues an in-house wrestling match between the aforementioned black-and-white Values and the Nemesis of Discord. The contender pits self against self, once firmly deciding with the Right, then switching to Prudence to forestall hostilities, countered by unswerving Values, ad exhaustium, winner take all.
As caretakers, ESFJs sense danger all around--germs within, the elements without, unscrupulous malefactors, insidious character flaws. The world is a dangerous place, not to be trusted. Not that the ESFJ is paranoid; 'hyper-vigilant' would be more precise. And thus they serve excellently as protectors, outstanding in fields such as medical care and elementary education.
Functional Analysis:
Extraverted Feeling
ESFJs live in their Extraverted Feeling functioning. Feeling, a rational (i.e., deciding) function, expresses opinions easily in the E world of objects and people. ESFJs have the ability to express warmth, rage, and a range of other emotions. Actions are encouraged or rebuked based on how they affect other people, especially people near and dear to the ESFJ. This type's vocal decisiveness predisposes many of its number to facility with administration and supervision.
Introverted Sensing
The secondary Sensing function aids and abets the dominant Fe in that sensate data is collected and at once compared with the inner forms or standards. Data on which decisions are made are thus focused and given a contrast which tends to be stronger and clearer than the original stimuli. The strengthening effect of Si on Fe may be responsible for this type's reputation for wearing their "hearts on their sleeves." At any rate, ESFJs reflect the "black and white" view of reality which is common to the SJ types.
Extraverted iNtuition
Intuition is tertiary--as the ESFJ matures, and as situations arise which call for suspension of criticism, Ne is allowed to play. Under the leadership of the Fe function, iNtuition allows for a loosening of the more rigid Si rights and wrongs; teasing and slapstick humor emerge. ESFJs are also capable of discerning patterns and philosophies, but such perceiving is subject to the weakness of the tertiary position, and the results often lack the variety and complexity of connections that more complex systems require.
Introverted Thinking
The inferior Ti function may rarely be expressed. In fact, ESFJs may take affront at the aloof, detached nature of dominant Ti types, or conversely, be drawn to them. Some ESFJs construct rationale which have the appearance of (Jungian) Thinking logic, but under scrutiny are in fact command performances of "Thinking in the service of Feeling," (i.e., Thinking-like conclusions which do not obey the tenets of impersonal logic; they rather construct scenarios from only those "hard, cold facts" which support the conclusion reached by the dominant Extraverted Feeling function.

Mixed Fortunes
Yesterday i finally found my watch between my bolsters and pillows(i have quite a few of them), which i lost for almost a week. i had searched everywhere i thought it would be without any progress but i knew that i would find it somehow since i remember leaving it somewhere in the house. of all places, it had to be hidden so close to me. so close yet so far.
Then, today after my bath i realised a small but essential bit holding the strap together with the device had chipped off. its impossible to repair since the bit that chipped off is part of the casing.................which means i cant use it anymore. thinking of my watch's life, ive had it for several years already and it has gone through alot with me(think camps, school and etc since primary 4 or 5). how sad. time to get a new watch.
Speaking of something material as well, today i finally got a pair of vans shoes after weeks of procastination. its not the pair that i preferred but still, it looks sweet.
Ive been having frequent moodswings lately, and i hope it doesnt deteriorate into another depression, which i had a few years back.

A Very Happy New Year..Or Not
First things first, happy new year to everyone. i've just suffered a shock which has also greatly saddened and disappointed me(i'm trying not to let it affect me),which i'm not going to elaborate further anyway.
Yesterday i was hooked onto the book
Anne Frank : Diary of A Young Girl. it might seem weird for someone my age not to have already read it, but hell, i still love the book. i even continued reading through the transition into the new year. the fireworks didn't interest me one bit, which is abnormal since i only took a glance at it then it was back to the book. i mean, who doesn't like looking at fireworks? one thing i must say about the book is anne taught me so much about life, its almost as if her words were a godsend to me. she'd answered so many questions i thought i'd never knew the answers to. i'm not going to do a book review here, you'll have to read the book for yourself if you didn't and if you did, hope you loved reading it as much as i did.
Ok. my new year resolutions, not in order of importance.
1. read at least 1 book a week. sounds very geeky but somehow i must thank daryl for restoring my interest in them.
2. be more careful with my words. i'm usually straightforward, and it might cause a misunderstanding if i'm not sensitive enough to others feelings.
3. exercise more frequently. the festive season has taken its toll on me since i put on weight quite easily. also, i want to spend less time in ns by getting gold/(silver?) for napfa. one more thing, i want to reach below 9minutes for 2.4km. sounds impossible but i'll strive for it.
4. take better care of my skin. i have dry skin. the skin on my legs have some sort wrinkly pattern to it, resembling those of crocodile leather. uhhuh, hope you get the picture. the skin on my feet occasionally dries up and then starts peeling off. my face, its a terrible piece of artwork consisting of pimples, spots, scars and everything else you can think of. ok, that was overexaggeration, it isn't bad to that extreme. really, i should take better care of my face lest i really become what i've described.
5. spend less time on computer games, even better totally quit it. chatting and surfing the web is fine, just the games. it has taken up alot of my time during which i could have done something better. however i forsee that this is possibly just a mere wish, since i've tried to curb it several times but to no avail.
i don't think the other resolutions will be hard to maintain, but we'll see about that. i'm feeling much better now, after writing all this, or more like typing. who cares. oh yes, anne frank did feel better by penning down her thoughts too.

christmas
just finished packing christmas gifts from korea. i think i did quite a good job although i wasn't too good with using the scotchtape. hahas.
i realised time passes really fast as the short stay of about a week in korea feels even shorter. i still remember vividly the night of departure where the flight was scheduled close to midnight. i was at the airport eating BK. after that, everything happened so quickly. in the blink of an eye, there i was, frolicking about the the snow. the next moment, here i am, again in singapore. well ill post some pictures of the trip soon =).
today is christmas 2006. although im a freethinker, i still do feel christmas is a special day, for reasons probably different from others. i think christmas is a day of joy, for get-togethers and laughter. after all, we get to take a break from our commitments to sit back, relax and enjoy. who wouldn't mind that?
to everyone, i wish you a very joyful and merry christmas!
